I have been talking with Tony about an Air Ride suspension for my car and I am going to be purchasing one very shortly. I am trying to plan ahead and am trying to figure out what the widest size tire that I can run in the rear is without having issues with clearance. That way, I can change my rear tires if need be. I am not planning on ever lowering the car completely but want to make sure a can lower it a good amount. The wheels I have on the rear are 20x10" and I will be running the shockwave. Any help is appreciated.

Sorry but I did a bit of looking around to see if I could find any specs on the tire size we ran on our 2005 and had no luck. We sold that car a couple of years ago. If you have clearance for the tire on the outer lip of the fender, you will probably be OK. Brian

Hey Brian, thanks for the response. I actually remember reading an article on the car and I believe it was a 285 in the rear. My main concern was how big the Airshock gets when its full of air. I think 285s will work, so I will find out when I get the kit.

That rear Shockwave has a max diameter of about 5".

We are using the 7000's on that car which are about 4" in diameter. I remember the tires on the 05 being pretty close to the bellow. Here is an image without air in the spring. Your's 20's may actually give a little more clearance.

The '05 ran 285's in the rear on 18" wheels.
