Since the new mazdas and rangers have the same suspension systems, i' m getting a parallel 4 link for the back and cool ride for the front and i will be running 17' s on 205/40s with the new upper and lower control arms. i am wondering if the rear kit comes with any kind of c notch or step notch and am wondering if it will sit on the ground with both of these setups. i want to rail with it. i think it should in the front but if it doesn' t in the back can i get a step notch and rebuild a new canteleiver? any help would be great!

The parallel four link will work in the rear, you will have to make a step notch though. For the front all we have for the ranger is the CoolRide kit for OEM upper and lower control arms. It will lower about 5" up front.

Thank you for replying darren. Can i use the tubular upper and lower control arms and drop it more, or is your cool ride system not compatible with other control arms? It should sit on the ground with the 17s, plus i could cut part of the spring pocket out to allow room for the control arms. Easy Street' s 98+ Ranger kit suggests this, except theirs will lay frame with 18s. would it be safe to trim some of the spring pocket to allow for more travel? I hope. So with the parallel 4 link and the step notch in the back, the back will rail with 17s, right? If i do the above for the front, will it drag the tranny crossmember? it should. i got a 4/5 drop on it right now w/ springs and flip kit, even though none of it will be used after the bags. Will it rail in the front and back? Please answer!!

Those control arms are only for the S-10. The rear will depend on how big of a notch you use.

So your coolride kit won' t work with DJM' s new control arms specifically for my truck? DJM makes 2" drop upper and lower control arms with replacement ball joints for my truck. Also, the notch i was looking for was a 5" or 7" step notch. Would it lay the frame with the arms and this big of a notch?

Yea, it will work with the DJM arms. I think you will have to modify the lower bracket though.
I' m not positive if that Notch will lay or not but you could just measure it up.

how will i have to modify the lower bracket? also when i' m done, if the front doesn' t lay all the way down, can i trim the spring pocket to allow more room for the control arms to drop it more? thanks for all the help you have provided me! You' ve been very helpful.

Is the rear kit completely bolt-on? If not, what parts are weld-on?

It is a completely weld on kit.

what about the bolt on bag brackets? where do they bolt to?

They just bolt into the coil sping pockets, upper and lower. I think you might have to cut a notch in the lower cup to help it sit flat in the pocket.

Sorry for not being specific, but i meant the rear bags. i see it mounts to the back of the parallel4link but what does the top bracket bolt on to? and how low would i actually get with this setup?

The rear 4 link is a universal setup. The upper bracket will bolt to the side of the frame. Most of the time we will use the lower bracket that welds to the axle, that way you can run a wider tire.

do you make just a 2 link system?

No.
