Now that I have a set of Big Red valves coming, just how waterproof are they? Can they be mounted under the car instead of in the trunk like I was going to do? Again, I have the Levelpro system with the weatherpack connections.

Thanks again
Doug

Both our RidePro and BigRed valves are weatherproof, so you can mount them wherever you'd like.

I just received my valves and other stuff, and thanks for taking the usual good care of me. This would have been a lot easier if I had just waited for the Level Pro E to come out instead of piecing it together like I ended up doing. Anyway, now that I have the valves here, they have a 2 connector weatherpack connector on them and my LevelProE has a 4 connector weatherpack connector. Is there some kind of a connector that you have to run between them, or do I need to make one for myself?

Thanks again for all the help.
Doug

ps, hint for everyone out there, if you can buy the entire setup at once, it is a lot easier.

There is an adapter harness that is required.
The BigReds were designed to allow the user the option of mounting two valves in the front and two valves in the rear of the vehicle, though it's easier to mount them all together.

Give the sales staff a call and they'll set you up with what you need.

When mounting them together, I normally swap out the four 2 pin connectors for four 4 pin connectors. Makes for a cleaner install.

Darren, I ended up doing just that, the issue is the little town I live in has NO weatherpack stuff, so I had to order the tool to remove the inserts to move them to the 4 pin cases that I already had.

Thanks again for the help

Just a note to those who want to change the BigReds over to the 4-pin Packard connectors:

Chances are you will not be able to purchase the 4-pin connector at your local auto parts store. Though they look the same, the internal slots are different.

I have attached a PDF print showing the slot locations for our connector.

Darren, thanks for all the help. What you could do is get both the male and female housings and change them out in that case. I had already gotten a set of extension cables from you to use with my old valves, so just used the houseing.
