I read the following thread and got ALOT of information on a setup for my truck, but i'm still in the dark as to what it takes for an 08 to lay frame.

http://www.ridetech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3198

First off, is the 08 model of the Ram much different from the earlier models as far as modifying the suspension? Any reccomendations? I was either going to get a shop to make the stuff for the front and i put it on myself, or buy a premade kit (if avalible? any info?) and install it myself, and just go with a 4-link in the rear like 03demon did.

Next is how to get the truck to lay on the ground. I'm aware that i'll have to notch the frame in the rear and cut out the fender wells in the front, I was just wondering if anyone around has done this on a newer ram for some heads-up. Is there a way to possibly keep the fender wells in the front and just modify them?

Any help is appricieated.

It's gonna have to be all universal stuff on this one.

Parts and labor? Doesn't sound all that bad.

yes, parts and labor, and i'm sure a damn good job, but i'm still not looking to spend that much.

I can do it myself for about $4k in parts. The only problem is i have never bagged a truck before. I do have welding/fabrication skills, but i'd like someone who has done a truck exactly like it to at least hit me up with some info.

Check to see what you are getting. Is it a late 08 coils in the back with a factory 4-link? Or does it still have leafs. More than likley you will be getting a 2-link and SMC valves for the 8K. What part of the country are you in?
