i have a 1963 chrysler newport station wagon,,,as some of you may know most mopars have a torsion bar front end...torsion bars twist to absorb the movement of front end....my plan for this car is to lower it substanchely but still be able to control height(ie air bags)....my question is because torsion bars twist would having air bags and adjusting them often put to much stress on the torsion bars causing failure?...if they would work how would and to what would they be mounted to?.....any help is greatly helpfull(lol),,,,jaymz

I don' t know about your case but I just read an article in mini truckin where they did a 91 nissan with torsion bars. They remove the torsion bars all together. So raising and lowering with air bags won' t effect the torsion bars because they are gone.
