a friend of mine is looking at the cool ride set-up for his ' 98ish mustang. With that kit as it is shipped will it lay the crossmember or just get close. I' m assuming a little cutting on the cups will fix this if it won' t lay, maybe a little mod to the strut. I' m assuming the strut will bottom first. Couldn' t i just move the lower mounting ears up on the strut on a piece of pipe so i' m not welding to a charged gas cylinder :)

The Cool-Ride kit will not put the floor pan on the ground out of the box unless you are running some wickedly small tires. The factory bumpstops catch the car firsy then the factory strut becomes the limiting factor. You would need to modify the kit and the car as you said to get it all the way down.
