i want to put a airbag setup on a suburban. i didnt buy the truck yet i want to do a 81 style burban but i have heard you cant go to low with them cause the balljoints bind up. now air ride makes a complete aftermarket front a-arm setup for the 95 stlye fullsize 1500 pickup' s will that setup fit a 81 burban or would i be better off to buy a 95 stlye burban. are the front suspensions the same for a 95 pickup and burban?

The 95 Suburban is the same front suspension as the pickup. But they are different than the 87 and older trucks. I am not aware of having a problem with bad ball joint bindage. I think the control arm actuall hits the ground first. Contact Fatman Fabrications, they have tubular control arms and crossmember for the 73-87 Chevy truck.

Yea, that is actually the same suspension as the 63-87 Chevy truck. That is one of the easiest installs we have. Put our kit on with a set of drop spindles and it will lay out really nice. For the rear I would use our weld on parallel 4 link.

the truck i got is already lowered. is there a way to tell if it was dropped w/ spindels in the front. i can tell the springs are new cause they are red but i dont know if its just springs or springs and spindles. if it helps the rear is a axle flipw/shackle hangars and it sits pretty level

Most people use Beltech spindles and I think they have it stamped on the spindle. More than likely you have drop spindles.

You don' t need the control arms, it will work just fine without them. Our kit will lower the truck a total of 6" fully deflated with OEM arms. If you want to go lower put the spindles on. If you still want to go lower you can modify the bracket setup and then the crossmember will hit. After you get the new crossmember the lower control arm will hit.
It' s all about how low you want to go. I' m starting to think that all you need is our Cool Ride kit with the Stock arms.
