I installed your triangulated 4 bar air suspension in my 1939 Plymouth. The Plymouth weighs around 3400 lbs. I used the blue shocks that came with the kit. The car rides OK over small bumps in the road but bounces excessively over major dips in the road. I am trying to decide if it is worth spending $190 a shock to improve this situation.

Those are Monroe shocks that you have. The are valved to have a "good" performance and a "good" handling. But they are not great in either area. For a "great" ride quality you would need a tick less on the rebound and significantly less compression. For "great" handling you would need both the compression and the rebound to be significantly stiffer. So... yes the adjustable shocks will ride much better

Here's the techie answer:
The vehicle continues to bounce after hitting a major road imperfection as the valving in the shock is not strong enough to slow down the oscillation of the air spring. If you replace that shock with a shock that has stiffer compression and rebound damping then it will be able to slow down the vehicle body in only a couple of strokes.
The question is, how much stiffer does the valving have to be? You can purchase non-adjustable shocks and try a few different options, but you may end up with 5 or 6 sets of shocks before you find one set you like. It's much easier to use an adjustable shock as you can quickly adjust the valving while the shock is on the vehicle.

What is the part number of the two way adjustable shock that replaces the standard blue Monroe shock sent with original kit?
Thanks

21139910. This is a new part # though... so you won't find it on the website. $190 each in the single adjustable.

Is a double adjustable shock available? I might as well go for broke.
