71 ranchero

HI Guys,just finished putting shockwaves SKW 1022 on the front of my 71 ranchero,tried to inflate + nothing?removed the airline (don" t have an onboard compressor yet)+the air rushes out?removed valve seems ok,replaced with one from a spare tyre in my garage still no joy. the shockwaves don" t wanna rise for some reason? ANY IDEAS....thanx in advance....phil[:o]

So how are you putting air in it--shrader valve with home compressor?

HI clynt11,YEP, that" s to say I thought it would,I blew 2 flats up with it on a C10 chevy truck so there can" t be that much differance in vehicle weight surely?I must have done sommat stupid along the way,but like they said at A/RIDE the nearest kit they had to a RANCHERO set up was the 64/70 mustang.I" M thinkin now maybe the washers that go over the top rubber bushings(for a mustang) are too thick for mine,There about 1" thick,I might change them for plate washers1/16" thick.
Another thing..the valve adjusters,do I open them right up to position 12 + work back down,.....Phil

Can you hear the air coming out somewhere?
Start the adjuster fully counter clockwise and turn it about 7 clicks or so. That will be a good starting point.

CHEERS DARREN,I" LL give it a go,Brian from AIR-RIDES TECH dept rekons my home compressor might not be big enough? I" ll have too check it out.
