I have a 79 ford F-100 that I want to install a fatmans mustang II front suspension on and I was wondering if it was possible to get the crossmember on the ground and still have enough lift to clear the fenders. Also I was told that the biggest bag that will fit in a MII set up is a #2500 bag. Is that true? I have slam specialties bags and i-beams up front now but it doesnt' ride very well so I would like to do this swap. Thanks.

Yes, the biggest bag you can fit in there is the Firestone 255. It' s about 6.5" in diameter. You can get about 5" of total lift.

If the crossmember was on the ground would 5" of lift be enough to clear the fenders? What is the designed ride height for a #2500 bag, at what height does it ride best?

The desined ride height of that bag is about 5" tall. Whether or not it will clear depends on how big of tires you have. I have no idea on that vehicle.
