That was me Mustang. If you put a second tank on I would probably put a 2nd Comp. on as well. They do get pretty hot, too hot to touch. But nothing to be real concerned about, just make sure that it the head isn' t touching the carpet or anything.

Well I' m thinking if you get another tank then the compressor would be working twice as hard to fill up that other tank. So it would be better to get another compressor.

Try to get some specs off of grampa' s pump, lets see if its worth anything. If you put one 3gal tank in there it will be more than enough. Or you can upgrade the compressor in the ARC4000 to the Viair, it can handle up to 5 or 6 gal. of reserve. The upgrade is $100.

Are there any compressor upgrade options for the arc 2700 kit? And is the 5 gallon tank available only in 5 gallon and only in the long 34" tank?

it can only have a max of 125 psi... :(

Clynt, you can get either tank with the kit, 9 x 20 or 6 x 34. And the Viair 400 which comes with the ARC2700 is the biggest comp. we offer.
Mustang, the switch that comes with the ARC4000 is 130psi, but it can handle 150psi. All we have to do is swap out the pressure switch.

For eight gallons of tank I would use two of the Viair 400 Comps.
