I have the cool ride front, HD bar, 4-way pro-ride, 1 Thomas pump, and a 3 gallon tank on my 98 Chevy dually. When I dump the air, it takes all the reserved air and the air from another full pump cycle before I can get the front back to ride height. My switch kicks the pump on at 100psi and shuts off at 130psi. The heavy dually takes 100-110psi to get the front to ride height. I only need 30psi for the rear w/out a load. What do I need to get more reserve air besides another tank? I know that I can fit another 3 gallon underneath, but do I need another pump? Do I need a higher pressure switch?

What year is your truck and when did you buy the kit?

go get a 150 psi switch and 3 more gallons of air. You can run your compressor as long as your not playing with it.

Yea, with that pump we can upgrade to a 150 switch. Add another 3 gallon tank, but I would probably put another pump on as well.

okay, get ready for the stupid questions.....if I add another pump, do I need a pressure switch for each pump, or can I run both pumps off the same 150psi switch???

I used to run this setup http://public.aci.on.ca/~com222/forum/Tanks2.jpg
Then I added another engine driven no pics. Nitrogen will get it up about 200 Times fast! The pumps I run on mine is on an 02 doge 3500 Dodge with the cummins at 2000 LB in the front alone. I run 120 PSI in the bags when the (2) ( gallon tanks are full Its fast at 170 PSI when they get down to 150 its slooooooooow. So I installed an engine driven which can maintain 200 PSI playing and no the fun never stops! That would be my highest suggestion is go engine driven its the best pump I have come across. www.onboardair.com has kits. Plus all they do is compressors and great people.

You can just run 1 pressure switch through a relay with will switch on both pumps at the same time.
