I have a 61 Cadilac with shockwaves on the front, and a coolride system on the back. I upgraded to half inch lines for the front only, to lift that big 390 v8 a little faster. I am having problems with slow leaks in the 1/2 PTC fittings at the valves and at the bags. I' ve cut and re-cut the lines into the fittings, but still no improvement. is there anyway to improve the seal?

No...not really. If you have a straight and clean cut that is about all you can do. Make sure it is in all the way and then give it a little tug. Also with that big of airline be careful not to kink the line, that could also cause a lateral load on the fitting causing it to leak.

Not the answer I was hoping for but thanks. The lines are not kinked, but they do have a slight curve. is it possible for PTC fittings to wear out? they are only 2 months old, but I have removed the lines a few times in attempts to get them to seal up.

Hey 61_Cadman,

I have a 61 that I am going to be setting up as well. Could you go to a hard line? Instead of using plastic lines?

Since you are on here, what part #s did you use, and what was your total cost? Thanks brother!!

spray soapy water and try n find out where it' s leaking from. if it' s leaking from the fitting, then replace it. that' s what i usually do

If you got the fitting from us they are all DOT approved, and the best fitting out there. I have a warranty on all my product, but if the airline is pulling on the fitting you will always have problems.
