while not an admin, I can tell ya theres no way to lay frame without modding that frame. It is a bolt in linkage with brackets and step notch, its a great system, took my frined and I literally 3 hrs to do, and he has never touched a wrench before! The only mod is a cutout of the frame you must make and puck pout soem holes for the bolts....the $1300 or whatever is a great price bc you dotn need to pay soemone, or have a backyard hacker do it for you

yes you do have to do frame mods w/ the roadgrater.... it is bolt on, but there are c-notches that goes in (cut the frame). also the bed must be cut out for it.

You still need to cut away the frame from the C-notch, according to ART.

yea, the notch like everyone else said and up front you' ll have to trim away some of the frame to make clearance for the bags so they wont rub the frame.

If anyone would like to see an install process go to my website, www.sickcustoms.net it shows almost everything. Go into Dan' s Truck and I have it in the project section.

Hey,
I don' t have much experience when it comes to working on my truck. It is a ' 91 Chevy S-10 and um... Quite frankly i don' t know where to begin. I have mechanic skills (not advanced mind you) and I was wondering if someone like me could install the Road Grater System on my own. In my own driveway. I have plenty of tools trust me on that I' m workin on a ' 69 Camaro. But my truck is much different from it. If you can help me let me know please.[8D]

Well, it' s kinda hard for me to say what you can and can' t do but I can tell you what it will take to do it.
Up front all you have to do is pop the ball joint and do a little trimming around the coil sping pocket.
In the rear you will have to remove the bed and cut out the floor for c-notch clearance. The notch will bolt-on to the frame and then can be cut out. After that its just a matter of grinding in a couple spots and drilling a couple holes.
