Tony, Drren or anyone:

I was inside my house, and all of a sudden the compressor kicked on and started filling up the tank with air. I' m still finishing up some last minute things on my truck before I get it on the street, and it' s just sitting there in my garage. Why did the compressor turn on all of a sudden? I hope that' s normal. If this has happened to anyone, please let me know ASAP. Thanks in advance

Matt;
You have a slow leak on the supply side ( somewhere between the tank and the solenoids ). Once the tank pressure bled down enough, it tripped the pressure switch and turned the pump on. You need to get you some soapy water in a spray bottle and start spraying your fittings. The leak will present itself with bubbles. It is a good idea to spray all of your fittings even the ones on your gauges and gauge ports.

I recommend you put the compressor on a relay that is switched off the ignition. then it will only run when the car is on. Just an opinion. I did it that way on mine. sounds like you wnet right off the battery or a constant hot lead for the compressor power.
