Ridetech customers know that we don’t just build ‘em, we drive ‘em! And that’s the case with our own employee Greg Schneider and his 1967 C10 Chevy pickup truck. Greg, who manages our show displays and trailers and fixes the hot rods we routinely break, has owned his C10 since 2001 and is most proud of how the truck rides and performs.
“Can you believe this truck was a one-owner trade from a dealer in Bristol, TN?” says Greg, chuckling about his find. “They had given it a quick car lot paint job, which wasn’t perfect but it was good enough for what I wanted. I was most interested in upgrading the truck’s driveability, comfort, and control.” Based on his improvement list, it appears he accomplished his mission!
Greg routinely drives his C10 on highways, road courses, and most recently on the autocross circuit. When asked why autocross, he replied, “It started out as something fun to do at car shows and not many people were doing it with trucks. After the first couple times, I was hooked!” Like any good employee, Greg attributes the C10′s excellent handling characteristics to his Ridetech suspension system. “Imagine going from a soft and bouncy farm truck to a 3rd Generation Camaro or better,” said Greg. “It’s that good.”
