The latest issue of HotRod magazine includes a very informative article about the effectiveness of a shock. The article “Shock Value” was written around a two day event in which we took all of our product lines out to the racetrack and measured the effectiveness of all our shock series.
Each of our ShockWave series (black, master, select) and even one of our coil-overs, were swapped in and out of our yellow 1970 Buick GSX and then were driven on an autocross. After each lap, measurements were taken to find out which shock had the best lap time AND the best ride quality.
To measure the ride quality, a NASA developed sensor was put inside the car to measure vibrations of the vehicle. The article includes more details and the results.
