Busy. Busy. Busy. The NSRA Streetrod Nationals on Saturday always draws the largest crowds. In droves people showed up to see the variety of builds and the hundreds of vendor booths. It was quiet the spectacle. It was quiet the spectacle.
We were pleasantly surprised to see so many participants from Thursday stay throughout the entire show. We were also happy to see so many families out and about spending the afternoon together and many of them not necessarily local. There were many people who came from all corners of the Midwest to come to this car mecca.
While we weighed several cars in the morning, the rain and a concert drove some of the attendees indoors. ( Or perhaps it was the infectious smell of the roasted almond stand, which we can admit to visiting quiet often this week ) So far we weighed about 100 cars and by the end of Sunday we’ll probably be at 130 cars.
There is only one more day left, but this should be the last report until next week when we will have compiled all of the weight data. Until then you can catch the pictures we took below:
A rain storm caught many off guard early this morning at the NSRA Streetrod Nationals here at Louisville but fortunately the rain subsided by 11:00. The rain sent many people indoors to check the vendors where the 48HourCamaro is stationed. This kept our indoor booth busy in the morning and gave us the opportunity to talk several nice attendees.
However, by noon people started to wipe off their cars and made their way over to our weigh in booth outside. We saw some beautiful cars today on our scales, like a few glowing 55 chevy’s, a couple immaculate 34 fords, and a patina 52 chevy pickup with ShockWaves. Pictures of the stuff we weighed can be found below.
The crowd was much bigger today than yesterday and we’ve noticed more traffic coming to our booths. We added another 40 cars to our weight database that will benefit everyone involved…it’s a great resource for car builders looking for a proper spring rate for their project without having to weigh their cars.
There’s still yet time to get your car weighed. Tomorrow will be the busiest day with an expected 10,000-12,000 cars participating! See you then.

The first day of the NSRA Streetrod Nationals is over in Louisville and for a Thursday afternoon with 100 degree weather it’s been plenty busy. So far we’ve measured around 40 cars today in our giant outdoor tent and trailer, and inside the convention center we’ve seen a lot of foot traffic. Just like previous shows we’ve weighed some strange stuff and we expect by the end of the weekend we’ll have some bigger tales to tell.
Like every NSRA Louisville show before, the show this year is HUGE. The expected attendance is somewhere around 12,000 cars and 130,000 people, and it looks like those numbers might be accurate by Saturday. For those who don’t know much about the show, the NSRA Street Rod Nationals is the largest streetrod show, period. The show used to be open to only vehicles produced before 1949 but was recently opened to vehicles all the way up to the 70’s making the show even more massive. Other than cars there are also plenty of other attractions such as food booths, concerts, seminars, and of course women’s world. The show features over 500,000 square feet of indoor vendor booths selling anything you can imagine.
The show is explained in further detail on NSRA’s online pdf flyer, but the best way to experience Louisville is to head out here. The show has only just begun, it will last until Sunday afternoon and so will we with our suspension analysis booth. So if your nearby come check out the show and bring your rod over to our outdoor booth for a FREE evaluation! Otherwise look out for more updates throughout the week.
