IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST and SUB ASSEMBLY PACKAGER

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

JOB TITLE:             IT Support Specialist
REPORTS TO:       General Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

The primary responsibility of the IT Support Specialist is to respond to inquiries from computer users and provide support, solutions and trouble shooting. A major part of this job involves finding solutions for technical issues connected to the computer network.

Areas of responsibility include the full range of information systems and telecommunications activities, including determining user requirements, recommending practical solutions, and leading Companywide efforts to improve the effective use of technology.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Administer and update VMWare environment
    • Maintain Windows based servers such as file, remote access, domain services, and application servers
    • Manage and maintain Office 365 email accounts
    • SAN management
    • Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches
    • Respond to employee requests for assistance with any and all technical issues
    • Maintain system efficiency
    • Make recommendations for future upgrades
    • Maintain network and system security
    • Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users
    • Evaluate and modify system’s performance
    • Identify user needs
    • Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
    • Define and maintain hardware and software lifecycles

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Five years of progressive IT experience
    • Knowledge of Cisco wireless and switching
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and evaluative skills
    • Working knowledge of Sage 100 ERP or similar ERP software
    • Working knowledge of Crystal Reports or similar reporting software, and have the ability to create custom reports

JOB TITLE:             Sub Assembly Packager
REPORTS TO:        Warehouse Supervisor

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sub Assembly Packager is responsible for performing a variety of tasks including performing Quality Control on parts received in, pulling of parts, assembly of powder coated parts, wrapping and packaging of kits, and stocking inventory.

This position requires some repeated heavy lifting throughout the day, carrying and lifting while reaching, bending, climbing, walking/standing to move product.  He or she will operate warehouse heavy equipment as needed for assembly of kits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Unload and perform quality control on incoming powder coated components.
  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
  • Prepare documents, such as, shipping orders and work orders to route materials.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
  • Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
  • Deliver or route materials, using work devices, such as hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
  • Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse and/or shipping environment is encouraged but not required.
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with others.
  • Basic computer skills are essential.
  • Ability to lift 150-200 lbs. semi-regularly.
  • Forklift experience desired but not required; training will be provided.
