Midwest Musclecar Challenge to be Televised

We are proud to announce that The Midwest Musclecar Challenge will be televised on Fox Sports Net in June of 2010.

Our group will be working closely with Masters Entertainment, creators of the Mother’s Car Show Series, Inside Drag Racing and countless other automotive programs.

Masters TV will be on-site to capture all the action of the Midwest Musclecar Challenge to produce a 30 minute special to air in June on the Mother’s Car Show Series. They will also be producing a full length DVD that will be available immediately following the telecast that will include bonus footage from the event not seen on television.

If you haven’t already, be sure to register for the event and take your shot at fame and glory!!

Put your skill and your ride to the test during this two day event covering four disciplines, full-out road course, autocross, and highway driving.

The Midwest MuscleCar Challenge will gather the top MuscleCars from all over the country to the heartland of Indiana & Illinois to do battle.

2010 Hot Rod Power Tour

We can’t wait to get on the tour this year. We once again will be doing the entire "Long Haul" with not only our product display rig, but with a couple hot rods. This tradition goes back to 1996 when Bret Voelkel practically started the company by taking his 1970 Mustang on the tour.

This year will be making the tour move in a new and very radical 2000lb 640 horsepower 33 Ford that will drive the distance and certainly see autocross action in Birmingham.

The 2010 Power Tour Street Challenge Autocross at the Birmingham stop on June 11th is shaping up to be so popular that they might have to limit the participation to the first 200 cars that are pre-registered for the autocross. Get signed up early!

The Power Tour Challenge Presented By RideTech

Another component of the RideTech Street Challenge is the triathalon style party that includes a trip to the dragstrip and a session on the chassis dyno. In November of 2009 Hot Rod Magazine editors David Freiberger and Rob Kinnan selected 26 high profile cars from the SEMA show and challenged them to put their rolling artwork on the street at the 2010 Power Tour. RideTech on the SPEED Channel

The SPEED channel special on the Optima Ultimate Streetcar Invitational (Saturday, January 30th at 11:00AM and Sunday, January 31st, at 4:00PM eastern time) is a great program. As you may know we are a sponsor and attendee of the invitational last November.

Suspension Test & Tune Session

Back a few months ago, we spent an afternoon out on a airport tarmac autocross course. We were testing a few new products on the Camaro and Chevelle. We were taking video and below is what we came home with (along with a large amount of tuning information)

Optima Invitational Photos & Video

This is our first of what will end up being several post on this event. To say it was great, doesn’t even begin to describe it.

The photos below will help, and the video (and there will be lots-o-video) will do it even more justice, however, in the end it will simply be impossible to capture the coolness factor of seeing cars of this quality being used (beat on hard!!) in an unbelievable setting following such a great event as SEMA.

I think the word “Ultimate” in the title of the event (Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational) was intended to describe the cars, but I think it works equally as well to describe the event.

Oh, and by the way, the photos posted here, were all taken by none-other than the Great Tony Bicknell. Who would have thunk he had the skills?
