The Costa Mesa GoodGuys Event has kicked off the 2008 season in a big way. We had a great time and from the reaction from people in attendance and on the web, the Street Challenge Autocross events are going to grow significantly this year.

NEW 65-70 Impala System

Let’s face it, the Impala generally isn’t the first car people think of when they want a high performance driving experience.
Until now that is.

We set out to re-invent the often overlooked late sixties large body Chevy by giving it a healthy dose of modern suspension upgrades. The results are absolutely stunning. The new Air Ride Technologies suspension system takes full advantage of the Impala’s large wheelbase and a nearly balanced front to rear weight distribution.

The system transforms the Impala into a Pro-touring platform capable of hanging with A-body and even F-body rivals. (did you know many 65-70 Impalas are actually lighter than Chevelles from the same years?)

We have offered an Air Ride suspension system for the 65-70 Impala for many years in the form of a CoolRide® kit, which utilized nearly all of the factory suspension components while replacing the shocks and springs with upgraded Air Ride Technologies pieces.

The new system’s improvements come from incorporating our high tech StrongArm™ tubular control arms, both front and rear and utilizing an adjustable ShockWave® up front with aluminum adjustable shocks in the rear. To round out the new package a set of purpose built MuscleBAR™ anti-roll-bars are also used front and rear with Posi-Link™ end-links.
Together these components provide the strength and control needed to handle the full size platform.
