The
NEW RoadGRATER™ system
from Air Ride Technologies
is a completely bolt-on 3
link wishbone rear air suspension.
It includes a BOLT-ON super
C notch assembly that is
installed OVER the existing
framerail BEFORE cutting.
This ensures the rear frame
section remains properly
aligned with the front. These
super C notches are contoured
around the oem rivets so
you don't have to spend hours
trying to grind hardened
rivets out! The airspring
crossmembers easily bolt
onto the super C notches
and add to the structural
integrity of the RoadGRATER™ system.
The oem gas tank crossmember
is removed with a sawzall
(again, no rivets to grind)
and the new RoadGRATER™ crossmember
(which includes a new gas
tank mount) is bolted into
place. Even the oem gas tank
strap is reused!
The S10 RoadGRATER™ system
is designed to be used with
at least a 26" tall
tire (275/35-18) and is capable
of setting the frame on the
ground with up to a 28" tall
tire (275/35-20).
Up to 12" of
DROP!
This system
will set the framerail
on the ground with up
to a 28" tall tire
(275/35-20). Ride height
is approximately 8" lower
than oem.
Completely bolt-on,
NO welding!
CNC lasercut
bracketry is jig
welded for accurate
fit
Powdercoated
for lasting protection
New gas tank
crossmember offers
1.5" more driveshaft
clearance AND extra
framerail reinforcement.
No more
notching the gas tank
crossmember!
Firestone® tapered
sleeve airsprings
placed
behind the axle offer
up to 7.5" of suspension
travel while minimizing
intrusion into bed area.
These airsprings offer
MUCH superior ride quality
than a double convoluted
airspring.
Lower bar mount
eliminates front
leafspring hangar
for more ground clearance.
Upper wishbone
control arm bolts
solidly to axle cover
and requires NO gas
tank modification!
Super C notches
and airspring crossmember
are clearanced for
oem frame rivets...
no need
to grind out existing
rivets!
The RoadGRATER™ is
$1495 and can be
BOLTED-ON in approximately
4 hours...
in your
driveway using a drill,
sawzall, and handtools.
A typical custom built
and installed rear 4
link system will cost
anywhere from $1500 to
$2500, and you are at
the mercy of the workmanship
of the installer. Now
the engineering expertise
necessary for reliability
and function can be included
on the same box as your
components!
