The 104 ShockWave Series

Although your specific vehicle may not be listed, we have a variety ofShockWaves that are designed to work with just about whatever setupyou’re using. Whether you’re replacing your current coilovers, or starting afresh build we can suit your air suspension needs.

Recommended Applications:
Independent front and / or Independent rear installations on vehicles weighing 1200-2000 lbs. per axle.
NOT recommended for solid axle rear applications... not enough travel, too much load capacity.

Concerning Sleeve Style ShockWaves

A sleeve style airspring or ShockWave typically has a lower load capacity and longer travel than a double convoluted style unit. That is why they are normally used in a rear application. RideTech has now developed a larger 104mm [6.5"] diameter ShockWave that offers the best of both worlds...the softer linear spring rate of a sleeve style airpsring AND the higher load capacity provided by the 104mm diameter. It is EXACTLY the same dimensions as the 6.5" double convoluted style unit but offers an even better ride quality.

You will note that some of the very heavy vehicles such as Cadillacs, Impalas, and trucks may still perform best with the progressive spring rate of the double convoluted style ShockWave. In addition, the 104mm sleeve style ShockWave cannot be run “upside down”. For all those applications we still provide the traditional style double convoluted style ShockWaves.

Ride Quality Series

The Ride Quality ("RQ") series is a great entry level solution. It still retains all the mounting and installation advantages of the other shock series. With fixed shock valving, the RQ series is designed to optimize ride quality while leaving out the guess work.

The quality of the monotube aluminum body shock will last for years of reliable service, and is an excellent choice for the price conscious buyer.

RideTech announces the 1,000,001 mile warranty!
As a reflection of the radical improvements in performance and durability that RideTech has implemented in their shock program over the last 3 years, all RideTech shocks sold after January 1,2013 will carry a 1,000,001 mile warranty!

Why? From RideTech president Bret Voelkel: "In partnering with the engineers at Fox, we’ve been able to see dramatic improvements in the handling performance, ride quality and durability of our entire shock line. At this point all RideTech shocks...ShockWaves, Coilovers, Struts and the new Q Series Smoothbody shocks use this new monotube platform. This 1,000,001 mile warranty is a demonstration of our confidence in this program."

Details

All RideTech shocks sold after January 1, 2013 are included in the 1,000,001 mile warranty program.
After your shock purchase from RideTech or a RideTech dealer you must register your purchase at www.ridetech.com/shockwarranty within 30 days
If your RideTech fails to perform properly within the next 1,000,001 miles, RideTech will repair that shock free of charge. The only exclusion is obvious external damage [accident, abrasion, etc.]
If you sell your car before the warranty expires, the warranty can be transferred to a new owner by going to www.ridetech.com/shockwarranty to register the new owner.
Anyone who expires their RideTech 1,000,001 mile shock warranty will get a picture of themselves and their car in a fullpage ad in Hotrod Magazine!
