Independent front and / or Independent rear installations on vehicles weighing 1200-2000 lbs. per axle.
NOT recommended for solid axle rear applications... not enough travel, too much load capacity.

Concerning Sleeve Style ShockWaves
A sleeve style airspring or ShockWave typically has a lower load capacity and longer travel than a double convoluted style unit. That is why they are normally used in a rear application. RideTech has now developed a larger 104mm [6.5"] diameter ShockWave that offers the best of both worlds...the softer linear spring rate of a sleeve style airpsring AND the higher load capacity provided by the 104mm diameter. It is EXACTLY the same dimensions as the 6.5" double convoluted style unit but offers an even better ride quality.
You will note that some of the very heavy vehicles such as Cadillacs, Impalas, and trucks may still perform best with the progressive spring rate of the double convoluted style ShockWave. In addition, the 104mm sleeve style ShockWave cannot be run "upside down". For all those applications we still provide the traditional style double convoluted style ShockWaves.
The Select Series is a steel body monotube damper with TWO sets of independent internal valving so you can choose between "cruise-mode" with a soft compliant ride or a firmer "sport mode" for handling performance... all at the touch of a switch!
