1955-1957 Chevy - Level 3

There seems to be more 55-57 Chevys on the road today than in 1957! Their tall boxy shape may say "low and slow", but in reality they can be a crisp performer with the right suspension enhancements.

The Level 3 Street Challenge system adds triple adjustable ShockWaves®, dropped spindles, MUSCLEBar™ swaybars, and the AirPod® LevelPro® compressor system to put these cars right alongside any of the modern day performance cars that you care to play with.

All of these systems require NO fabrication, NO floorpan cutting, and NO welding to the body or frame. The Ridetech 4-Link is also positioned inside the framerails to allow much needed extra rear tire clearance. Don’t settle for 50 year old technology… serious performance CAN come in a box!

NOTE: The two piece frame is made from 2 pieces of metal welded together along their length. The one piece frame is made from a single piece of metal and has no weld line. (both frames have a seam on the top of the frame the two piece also has a seam on the bottom) The width of these frames is slightly different. The two piece frame measures 35-1/8” between the framerails immediately behind the bodymount in front of the rear wheel. The one piece framemeasures 33-11/16” between the framerails. This measurement is important to determine because our 4-link crossmember is placed in that position.

The ShockWave® mounts much like a coilover and replaces both the coil spring and the shock absorber. The Shockwave kit for the 55-57 Chevys bolts in using the existing upper shock mount. (Note: some trimming of your spring pocket may be required)

The Shockwave system for the 55-57 Chevy will lower the car from the factory ride height by 3-4" and provides the ability to go even lower when not being driven by lowering the air pressure further.

To optimize the suspension for 55-57 Chevys, our ShockWave® system allows the replacement of the factory lower arm with our StrongArm lower control arm which is included in this system (this package also includes the upper control arm upgrade).

The TA shock has an impact forged aluminum body / mono-tube design with adjustable valving. Adjustability provides more options for desired driving style which includes single rebound adjustment PLUS dual stage high and low speed compression.

StrongArm tubular control arms not only improve suspension geometry and handling, they also make installation even easier. The added benefit when replacing control arms is new bushings and ball joints. No more worn out components.

The Bolt-on 4-link from Ridetech, formally known as the Airbar, is a 4-link rear suspension that will directly bolt into the oem leafspring mounts of your prized musclecar... no cutting, no fabrication, just 4 small tabs to weld to the axle for your upper bars. The ride height of your car is typically lowered by approximately 2". The ride quality and performance is dramatically improved over stock... instead of a wallowing soft ride you’ll experience a crisp, controlled ride quality that will inspire more confidence for performance driving.
