1964-1966 Ford Mustang - Level 2

Part #: 12090299

Price: $7,300.00

The LEVEL 2 system is equipped with single adjustable ShockWaves on all 4 corners. This provides great control right out of the box. The front ShockWave system is a simple bolt-on install that can beused with the factory arms. The single shock and air spring unit provides a cleaner appearance and offers adjustable shock valving to aid in tuning. A Ridetech 4-Link will position the rear more precisely and eliminate the flexing and instability of the leafspring rear. The 3 gallon compressor system provides 4 way independent control with the useof RidePro valve body. It comes with our RidePro electronic control system for accuracy.

Features:

Front System

The ShockWave® mounts much like a coilover and replaces both the coil spring and the shock absorber. The Shockwave kit bolts in using the existing upper shock mount. (Note: some trimming of your spring pocket may be required)

The Shockwave system will lower the vehicle from the factory ride height and provides the ability to go even lower when not being driven by lowering the air pressure further.

  1. Unequalled ride quality
  2. Proven patented sealing technology
  3. Anodized billet aluminum construction
  4. Eliminates tire clearance problems

Handling Quality

Shock Series

Shocks are the heart of every suspension system and are the key component in provide ride control to the driver. The Level 2 system includes the upgrade to our Handling Quality Series, single adjustable aluminum shocks, both front and rear.

The HQ shock has an impact forged aluminum body / mono-tube design with adjustable valving. Adjustability Provides More Options for Desired Driving Style and Loads Easy and precise valve adjustment with 26 rebound clicks from soft to firm

Rear System

The Bolt-on 4-link from Ridetech, formally known as the Airbar, is a 4-link rear suspension that will directly bolt into the oem leafspring mounts of your prized musclecar... no cutting, no fabrication, just 4 small tabs to weld to the axle for your upper bars. The ride height of your car is typically lowered by approximately 2". The ride quality and performance is dramatically improved over stock... instead of a wallowing soft ride you’ll experience a crisp, controlled ride quality that will inspire more confidence for performance driving.

  1. The Ridetech 4-Link system lowers vehicle ride height and provides the ability to go even lower when not being driven by lowering the air pressure further.
  2. Pre-engineered mounting hardware to maintain ground clearance, driveline angles, tire clearance and load capacities
  3. Bolt-on installation (no fabrication required)
  4. Greatly improved handling performance
  5. Ultimate ride quality.

Compressor / Control System

We have equipped our Level 2 package with our RidePro compressor system outfitted a compressor and a 3 gallon tank.

The RidePro System Features:

3 ride height presets with optional "Ride height on start" feature. LevelPro Sensors monitor both air pressure and ride height to eliminate crossloading.
Transflective display uses sunlight to illuminate…the brighter the sun, the brighter the display. Mini USB connectors on bottom and back of control panel offer several mounting options.
Waterproof ECU allows mounting anywhere on vehicle. Compatible with existing RidePro and other brands of solenoid valves.
Built in troubleshooting menus provide error codes to alert users of any malfunctions. Solid state internal compressor relays eliminate external compressor relays and wiring.
Waterproof threaded M12 wiring harness connectors.

TRU TURN - Musclecar Steering Components

The early Mustang frontends have very poor suspension geometry...the tires lean outward around turns, the bumpsteer is bad, and there is little room to run a wide wheel.

The TruTurn system resolves ALL these issues... the tires now lean INTO the turn, the bumpsteer is 0.000" through 5" of suspension travel, and you now have clearance to run up to a 245mm Tire.

What does this system include?

  1. Spindles – taller overall to improve the camber gain
  2. Steering Arms – designed to eliminate bumpsteer, improve
ackerman angle, AND allow clearance for up to a 8" wide wheel with a 5.5" backspacing.
  3. Draglink bracket – bolts onto your oem draglink to relocate the inner tierod end to minimize bumpsteer
  4. Tie Rod Assemblies – integrates with your new steering arms and centerlink to provide a true "no fab" bolt on steering system.
  5. StrongArms – incorporates an adjustable spherical bearing for stability, and dropped cross shaft to improve camber gain

General Features

• StrongArm tubular lower control arms [incorporating an adjustable spherical bearing]
• StrongArm tubular upper control arm [incorporating a dropped crosshaft to improve camber gain]
• RideTech spindles, steering arms, and geometry corrected steering linkage
• Compatible with OEM manual and power steering, AND with the Borgenson power steering conversion box
• Ridetech tall spindles are only compatible with GM A/F body brake systems
• Allows the use of a 17x8 or 18x8 wheel with a 5.5 backspace and a 245mm wide tire

Award Winning

The 1964-66 Mustang TruTurn package is the recipent of the 2012 - Hot Rod and Restoration Trade Show - Innovation Award.
