One of the most cringeworthy parts of any build can be the instrument panel, which is why we wanted one of Classic Instruments’ Direct-Fit packages for this build. These guys make this process almost too easy with a kit that includes dash bezel, pre-wired electrical connections with a wiring harness, mounting hardware, and all necessary sending units! We decided to go with the AutoCross Grey Series, which provides a modern sport appearance with standard matte black low-step bezels, flat glass lenses, and white pool-cue pointers. This series was designed by carefully considering racer’s needs in order to find the perfect balance between functionality and style. Keeping racetrack functionality in mind, the dial faces feature clear, concise numerals and indices that are easy to read at any speed. Additionally, the tachometer comes standard with a built-in shift indicator light. In effort to keep street style in mind to and from the track, fine details were included as well such as etched diffuser rings on the speedometer and tach, an exclusive two-tone tach pointer, and “eyelids” with ISO symbols on the fuel, oil, temp, and volt gauges.
