Hot Rides & Hot Laps: SEMA Show & Ultimate Street Car Invitational

Last week, the automotive world flocked to Las Vegas for the 2021 SEMA Show. After 2020’s show cancelation, SEMA pulled out all the stops to create an event bigger and better than ever. That’s a tall order, considering that the annual gathering has been an industry staple since 1967.

Thirteen hundred vendors. Thousands of products. Seventy seminars and close to 100,000 participants. In short, SEMA doesn’t hold back. The show ran from November 2nd-5th, and every day was jam-packed with some of the planet’s most exciting cars, trucks and high-performance machines.

Out on the show floor, lights flashed and paint jobs glistened. From lifted trucks and pearlescent exotics to rusty hot rods and a giant, animatronic wooly mammoth, you never know what you’ll come across next. A turbocharged tractor with nitrous? A gallery of Chip Foose’s masterpieces? Or how about the latest version of the “Project X” ’57 Chevy, now fully electric? The sky’s the limit.

Now that the dust has settled, we’re looking forward to next year. Stay tuned to our Facebook, Instagram and right here for more SEMA highlights.

Ultimate Street Car Invitational

SEMA—in motion! Over the weekend, 80 high-performance cars from far and wide duked it out at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the final Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational race of 2021.

Just like inside the show, we were impressed with the wide variety of machines. From Corvettes and Camaros to ’32 Fords and Pontiac Vibes, every driver pushed their car to the limit. Fast, loud and fun, we can’t think of any better way to wind down a week in Las Vegas.
