I am interested in running the 7000 series 4″ diameter shockwave on an independent Jag rearend and regular bags on the front. I want to use two 7000 shockwave per side on the rear. They are rated at a700 lb spring rate. By the math, I have a 650 lb spring rate on either side of the rear suspension. The front corners are rated at 700 lbs per corner by the math. I need the small diameter of the 7000 series shockwave to fit in the available space. In doing this I end up with a spring rate “capacity” in the shockwaves at the rear just about double the need, and the fronts will be or could be, spot on spring rate matched to the bag. My question is, what will happen at the rear with a bag capacity twice what I need per side with the fronts correct. What will be the effect to raising and lowering the car and how will it affect the ride?
