    Hi folks,

I’ve got the ridetech airbar 4 link in my 1968 Camaro – with the shockwave air ride. It seems that the airbar is interfering with my rear end when I try to drop the rear end as far as possible.

Do you foresee an issue with cutting the bar and extending it into the trunk floor on either side to achieve more clearance? Also, do those tabs on the airbar need to be welded/bolted into the trunk floor? Does this prevent side to side movement?

    Thanks,

    David

I would not recommend cutting the air bar, here is a link to the instructions if you don’t have them. the instruction shows how to drill and bolt those tabs into the trunk floor. trying to move the rear end up will also cause driveshaft clearance issues.
