This weekend, we’re in Bowling Green, Kentucky, for Holley’s Intergalactic Ford Fest. The show, which runs from September 29th-October 2nd, is the nation’s biggest celebration of Blue Oval power.
With so many things going on this weekend, The Swapmeet is a great place to find those final pieces and parts to keep your fabulous ford on the road!
From Thursday through Sunday, machines of all shapes and sizes flood into historic Beech Bend Raceway for four days of non-stop action. The event showcases the best of the best, giving both racers and spectators alike an experience like none other.
Not surprisingly, the schedule is jam-packed. Everywhere you look, there’s a different event. The NMRA World Finals, autocross, a dyno challenge, a countryside cruise, and more, there truly is something for everyone.
If that weren’t enough, the Ford Fest is rolling out the Ford Festival 50—a grassroots race that pits specially prepped Crown Victorias on a 3/8th-mile oval track.
This year Holley is excited to announce that TORR (The Off-Road Revolution) will be invading Ford Festival! That’s right. Late Model, wide track, mid and long travel, track-prepped Ford Raptors will be shredding up the off-road short course throughout the weekend! Don’t miss your opportunity to see these high-performance trucks tearing it up!
Who will be Holley’s Ford Fest Grand Champion? The driver or participant can do the best all-around job in multiple events. Bring a car that can go fast, stop fast, and hang on in the corners! Grand Champion points to be earned will come from competition in the autocross (Beech Bend Raceway), the 3S Challenge, and the Grand Champion drag class.
This year, we set up our fully stocked Ridetech display in the Manufacturers’ Midway. Along with our complete Ford lineup, we’re excited to debut our latest project car: a Fox-body Mustang outfitted with our new 1979-2004 Mustang system. Stay tuned for more on this car—and system—in the coming months.
We have been hard at work over the past few years… and this new suspension for the 1979-1993 Ford Mustang is one of our more impressive accomplishments. We have always loved the “Fox Body” mustang, having offered suspension upgrades for the platform since the 1990’s. However, this new suspension system takes the action to the next level.
We set out to fix all of the limits and constraints inherent to the 80’s Ford platform while at the same time keeping the system simple to bolt-on and tune for everyone’s performance needs.
Available with either coil-overs or Ridetech Shockwave Air suspension options, the kit includes Fox Shocks, all new design upper and lower front control arms, new spindles, and swaybar. In the rear, an all new multi-link system that utilizes our composite lined R-Joints will keep the car hooked-up under the hardest launches and most aggressive cornering.
It’s another big year at Ford Fest, and we’re having a blast. Thanks to everyone who has stopped by the booth to say hi and check out the Mustang. We’re already counting down the days until we can race it at the 2023 show.
