This weekend, we’re in Des Moines, Iowa, for Goodguys’ Heartland Nationals. Now in its 31st year, the show brings some of the nation’s top cars to the Iowa State Fairgrounds for an action-packed Fourth of July weekend.
From Friday through Sunday, over 4,000 cars flooded the fairgrounds. Best of all, you never knew what you’d see next. With hot rods, muscle cars, street machines, classic trucks and more, there’s excitement around every corner.
Despite a rainy start on Friday, the show was packed all weekend long. And when the sun came out, cars cruised the fairgrounds with exhaust rumbling and superchargers whining. On top of the cruising, there’s a first-class swap meet, Nitro Thunderfest and a full-fledged AutoCross showdown.
Just like in years past, we set up our Ridetech booth in the Manufacturers Midway. This time around, we have Brian Michaelis’ 1964 Falcon in the booth. The Omaha, Nebraska-based Ford features a 347cid V8 and our new bolt-in Falcon system. We thoroughly enjoyed catching up with old friends and making new ones too. Thank you everyone who stopped by.
