Just to let you know, Control Freak out of Florida makes complete bolt on coil-over crossmember front suspensions and bolt on rear four-link suspensions for almost all AMCs and you don’t have to cut anything up. They also have a coil-over kit that works with the stock AMC crossmember. Wilwood also has a new disc kit.

It’s a beautiful car and I’m glad to see an AMC get some good coverage, but think how much cooler it would be with an AMC engine. Contrary to what everybody thinks, there are a lot of great parts and they make easy horsepower. Check out Indy Cylinder Heads. They have aluminum 500 inch blocks, Aluminum heads, component manifolds, ready to run EFI. billet front covers and complete crate engines up to 875 horse. Of course there are the Edelbrock aluminum heads and EFI. Of course AMS stuff costs more, but it would have much more impact than just another LS swap. I’ve been building AMCs for 40 years now and still cringe at an engine swap, especially when there are more parts available and they’re making more power than ever. Check out the “theAMCForum.com” There are 6,000 AMC guys and gals there! Check the AMXs, Spirits and Americans running in the 8s, 9s and 10s and road racing competitively.
