Throughout 2018, RideTech introduced a wide range of high-performance suspension products. At the SEMA Show, we’re kicking off 2019 first quarter with more innovations. The big news is that we’re modernizing the sway bar market with CNC-bent, thick-wall tubing, 3D scanning and, best of all, investment cast bar ends. Next up.. RideTech is elevating the performance potential of Chevrolet’s excellent C5/C6 Corvettes with an all-new billet modular spindle design. With R-Joint XL, RideTech’s is expanding its revolutionary rod end and spherical bearing line with larger sizes that are ideal for 3-links, wishbones, torque arms and off-road applications. Here’s a look at all of RideTech’s latest products.
Musclebar™ Sway Bars
Sometimes simple ideas are best. RideTech is modernizing a familiar product — the sway bar. Also called anti-roll bars, sway bars are among the most cost-effective upgrades available for your muscle car or truck. How do you improve upon the sway bar, then? The answer is manufacturing technology re-imagined bar ends and modern end links. Specifically, RideTech has developed a new line of sway bars that feature CNC bent tubing, shapes based on 3D scanning and investment casting technology. RideTech’s large-scale CNC tubing bender produces sway bars with unheard of dimensional accuracy and bar rate consistency. It’s a mighty machine. To ensure that the bar dimensions match each application, RideTech has been busy measuring popular platforms using its in-house 3D scanning equipment. The resulting 3D image scans are imported into CAD software, where our engineers design sway bars for maximum leverage, maximum clearance and ease of installation.
Perhaps the coolest part of RideTech’s new sway bar program is CAD-engineered, investment cast steel bar ends. Precision welded to the tubing, the new bar ends are stronger and more rigid than traditional “smash it flat and punch a hole” sway bar ends. The engagement between end-link bushings and sway bar ends is vastly improved. The shape of the bar ends perfectly complements the end link bushings. RideTech supplies innovative spherical barrel lock nuts to greatly simplify installation. As a finishing touch, RideTech’s familiar icon is cast into the side of the bar end. Some applications, such as A-Body rear sway bars, feature clamp-on billet ends.
Finishing off the new sway bar program, RideTech supplies Delrin-lined frame mount bushings to eliminate stiction caused by polyurethane and rubber bushings for easy, predictable rotation. Exact bar rates data sheets are included to ensure accurate performance. Learn more HERE.
Track 1 C5/C6 Corvette Modular Spindle
Track 1 Modular Spindles provide next-level performance for your C5 or C6 Chevrolet Corvette. CNC machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum, Track 1 Spindles are stronger and lighter than factory units. A raised hub position drops your Corvette 1” while maintaining proper suspension travel and geometry. Bolt-on ball joint bosses and steering arms offer simplified customization for track cars and special applications. Modular upper ball joint and steering arm positions can be tailored for more static camber. 180,000 psi ARP through bolt fasteners secure modular sections. A built in caster pad simplifies easy direct caster readings at the track. Track 1 Modular Spindles are compatible with OEM Corvette hubs and parking brake assemblies. Optional SKF Racing Hubs with ARP studs are available. It’s the perfect upgrade for street, track day, autocross and time trial enthusiasts as well as hardcore racers and specialty car builders. R-Joint XL Rod End and Weld-On Bearing
R-Joint XL is an innovative rod end and spherical bearing design that features smooth articulation and long service life by way of a special RTX10 composite cage and spring-loaded closure. R-Joint XL combines the best qualities of all bushing and rod end designs such as low friction, lateral stability, full range articulation and quiet operation into one special bearing. RTX10 offers extreme 17,250 lbs. yield strength, durability and lubricity. The spring-loaded closure maintains tension between a polished stainless-steel ball and its surrounding composite cage for tight, rattle-free operation and long service life. The rod end version of R-Joint XL features a 17-4 stainless steel body that has been independently tested to 133,000 lbs. tensile strength (59,000 for standard size R-Joints). A carbon steel weld-on version is available, as well. R-Joint XL Rod Ends are available in1-1/4″-12 thread and 1″-14 x 5/8” through bolt sizes with left hand and right-hand threads. Weld-on R-Joint XL is available as 5/8” I.D. x 1-3/4” Width x 1-3/4” O.D. R-Joint XL is at home on the street, at the track and off road. For the entire R-Joint product range, click HERE.
Wishbone Rear Suspension and Complete Suspension Systems for 1982-2003 GM S10 and S15 Pickups — Coilover | Shockwave®

TruTurn™ Front Suspension System for 1970-1981 Camaro and Firebird
RideTech’s TruTurn™ Front Suspension System for 1970-1981 Camaros and Firebirds improves handling and steering response while accommodating wide front tires with a factory subframe. The complete front system includes upper and lower StrongArms™, tall spindles, steering arms, inner and outer tie rods, billet tie rod adjusters, center link, idler arm and pitman arm. Upper StrongArm™ control arms feature corrected ball joint angles to match the supplied tall spindles. Upper ball joint position is moved back for additional caster setting which, in turn, improves high-speed stability and steering feel. Lower StrongArm™ control arms feature a double-sheer lower shock mount for increased strength and suspension travel. RideTech repositioned the lower ball joint forward to keep the wheel centered in the wheel opening in response to the modified upper ball joint orientation. You get increased caster while maintaining wheel centering within the wheel arch. Injection-molded self-lubricating delrin-AF bushings are supplied to reduce deflection and eliminate stiction.
RideTech supplies steering arms, tall inner tie rods, billet tie rod adjusters, inner rods and a centerlink that all work together to minimize bumpsteer and improve camber gain. RideTech’s TruTurn™ front suspension system can be used by itself or in conjunction with their all new Unicradle Bolt-On 4-Link rear suspension. RidePRO-X Digital Air Suspension Leveling System is making an encore appearance at SEMA 2018 to show off its intuitive, colorful and wireless RidePRO-X smartphone “App”. Based on a sophisticated military-grade ECM, RidePRO-X offers true high-performance air suspension management. A sophisticated algorithm measures pressure or pressure + height at each corner to establish proper spring rates. With each turn of the ignition key RidePRO-X works seamlessly in the background. This eliminates the need for frequent monitoring or adjusting. In addition to the app, RidePRO-X includes a 3 position module that plugs into any 12V power port for quick access to access to height presets (the single most used air suspension feature). It all adds up to a true high-performance design that contributes greatly to any custom air suspension system – particularly if used in conjunction with RideTech Shockwaves® or CoolRide™ Air Springs and Shock Absorbers. RidePRO-X is available standalone or as part of RideTech’s AirPOD™ integrated compressor/control systems. To learn more about RidePro-X, click HERE.
