It is no secret that we love a 67-69 Camaro / Firebird as much as anyone. We have developed solutions for this platform since the beginning at Ridetech. Continual updates and improvements have allowed us to squeeze more than was ever thought possible from the First Gen platform.

The new Ridetech Bolt-on Subframe Connectors install in minutes and the transformation of the ride and handling is startling. Our first test car was a 1967 Camaro that has been equipped with the Ridetech full coil-over suspension for several years. The owner was stunned even before the car was out of the parking lot. The car felt totally different, significantly more planted and sure footed – especially under acceleration. “It pulls so much straighter” the owner said… and we agreed!
We started with 1.5 in. x 3 in. x .125 wall steel for high strength, and made sure it attached at the front to capture the body bushing. The real magic is at the rear of the subframe connector where we incorporated the entire leaf spring mounting pocket. This design uses multiple mounting points to lock in the subframe connector and provides a super stiff mount for the rear leaf spring – or the Ridetech four link bar.

Of course, we made sure it looks good too, and gave the subframe connectors a slick powder coat finish to keep them looking good for years to come.
