Installing a RideTech Bolt-On 4-Link into your 1970-1981 Camaro/Firebird has never been easier with the help of this Currie 9” Rearend which includes the 4-Link and sway bar brackets already welded to the housing.
Manufactured by Currie Enterprises using their lightweight Turn 9 housing to offer exceptional performance and strength. This unique design features 3″ x .188″ 4130 Chromoly tubes and welded internal bulkheads that tie the face, body and tubes together to provide an extremely strong yet lightweight unit. Reduces unsprung weight by 55lbs (with aluminum case) compared to stock rearend! The pinion is offset ½” and the axle flange is offset 2 ½”. Also includes Currie 31 Spline axles featuring 5” x 4 ¾” bolt pattern and ½” x 2″ wheel studs. The billet steel flanges utilize the New Style Big Bearing / Torino bolt pattern. Available flange to flange widths are 61.255″ (Stock) or 56″ (narrowed for mini tubs cars). Fill cap & drain plug are included.
Upgrade to the full floating option to improve rear brake performance by eliminating pad knockback during hard cornering. When uprading to a Currie Floater, 35 Spline axle are required. Special brake systems are required to fit the the Currie Floater. The MillerBuilt Floater Conversion requires 35 Spline inner and 33 Spline outer axles.
In an effort to keep unsprung weight as low as possilble add an Aluminum 3rd Members to complete the package. They feature 3.062” main caps, big bearing pinion support and 1350 Billet Steel Yoke. Also includes True Trac 31 Spline differential with the ratio of your choice. To provide a noise free operation polished ring and pinion and dyno break-in is also included. (Most floater kits require a 35 Spline differential)
Designed to work with newer style RideTech 4 Link (upper bars are angled toward the center of the vehicle).
