Ridetech at the Track – Two Weekends at Road Atlanta for Barrett Jackson Road Tour, HSR and IMSA

We visited the amazing Michelin Road Atlanta Raceway facility in Braselton Georgia for 11 days. Starting with the Barrett Jackson Road Tour, then hanging out for the HSR Historic Race as well as the 23rd annual Motul Petit Le Mans and FOX Factory 120.

Fox Factory has a big presence at the Road Atlanta track, including a dedicated tech center facility as well as off road proving ground. For these two weekends it was road racing front and center.

When we found out that the first ever Barrett Jackson Road Tour was going to be routing through Atlanta we were excited to work with Fox Factory (our parent company) and help host the tour for a dinner stop at the Road Atlanta Podium Club.

The October 2020 Barrett Jackson Road Tour ran from October 7-13, starting in Atlanta, GA, and ending in Key West, FL. Traveling over 1,500 miles through five states, this tour traveled some of the most picturesque cities along the way: Atlanta, Greensville, Charlotte, Savannah, Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Daytona Beach, Port St. Lucie, West Palm Beach and Key West, the southern-most U.S. landmark.

For the end of the first day as the cars on the tour took some parade laps around the Road Atlanta Track and then enjoyed a relaxing meal.

We had a great time talking to folks on the tour, helping them with their suspension questions and just having fun with their cars.

We highly suggest the Barrett Jackson road tour experience for anyone who loves to drive their car, hang out with great car people and visit amazing car related stops along the way (we’re guessing that is you since you’re on this website)!

HSR Fall Historics
October 8th-11th

The HSR is unique organization. They provide racing events for “historic” race cars – that is slightly different than true “vintage” racing where there is generally a year range of how old is old enough to be part of the show. By focusing on “Historic” the HSR provides a place where race cars that, just a few years ago, may have been at the front of the pack at top levels of motorsport all around the world… as well as still including the vintage classics of years gone by.

Their events make for an eclectic and dazzling display of racing history – and some great racing action too.

We had a great time talking to racers about the cars they had at the track as well as projects at home – many of which Ridetech provides suspension solutions for, to help keep them performing on the road and track as well.

If you are a car person (again, you are still reading this, so we’re assuming you are) you really need to make a HSR event part of your regular schedule of things to do each season… you won’t find nicer people having more fun and you might find yourself looking to buy an old race car to join in the action!

Motul Petit Le Mans and FOX Factory 120
October 16th-17th

Setting up our Ridetech display at Road Atlanta Raceway during one of the world’s premier road racing events – the Motul Petit Le Mans and FOX Factory 120 was a great opportunity for us to meet some new friends.

We find the more you connect with people who are passionate about cars and racing – the more you understand how similar we all are. Since the racing was going for two days almost non-stop, we even found time to watch some of the awesome action on the track too.

Look to see us at more events in the future and stop by to talk about your project – we love this stuff!
