Ridetech Wins Three AutoCross Classes in Des Moines

At last weekend’s Goodguys Heartland Nationals, three RideTech-equipped cars slid into the AutoCross winner’s circle. Under clear skies, everything from Blazers and Jeeps to Camaros and Corvettes duked it out at the Duel in Des Moines. After three days of spinning tires, banging gears and dodging cones, Ron Scott, Chris Jacobs and Preston Folkstad came out on top.

Pro Class

In the Pro class, Ron Scott ran hard all weekend in his 1963 Chevy Corvette. The white Stingray sports a full RideTech coilover system, which helped him grip the track run after run. He won the class with a 44.696 blast.

Street Machine Class

For the Street class, Chris Jacobs outran everyone in his 1987 Corvette. Just like Ron, Chris’ ’Vette has RideTech coilovers on all four corners. His top time was 45.475.

Truck Class

In the ever-popular Truck Class, Preston Folkstad toppled the competition in his 1984 Chevy C10. The Iowa-based pickup runs TQ-series coilovers that he dialed in specifically for AutoCross action. For his winning run, Preston completed the course in 48.522.

Congratulations to Ron, Chris and Preston, as well as everyone who participated in the Duel in Des Moines. Next up, we’ll be in Columbus for the Summit Racing Nationals, so stay tuned. In the meantime, make sure to check out our full show coverage from Des Moines here.
