Deep in the Heart of Texas: Goodguys Lone Star Nationals 2022

We’re back in Texas for Goodguys’ Lone Star Nationals. Now in its 29th year, the massive show takes over Texas Motor Speedway for three action-packed days. The Speedway is one of our favorite venues, with its high-banked NASCAR turns and expansive infield.

This weekend, the sun is out, the air is warm and we’re soaking in everything the Lone Star State has to offer. The show is filled with more than 2,000 cars from across the United States, ranging from early hot rods to late-model muscle.

In signature Goodguys style, the Lone Star Nationals are more than just a car show. All weekend long, they’re running the “Big Hoss” Autocross shootout as well as offering NASCAR Stock Car rides around the legendary track. If that weren’t enough, there’s also the burnout contest, Nitro Thunderfest and treasure-filled swap meet.

Just like in years past, we have our fully stocked Ridetech display in the Manufacturers’ Midway.

Alan Pound Parked his daily driven 1985 C10 in the booth on Friday. With its perfect patina and Street Grip suspension, it makes for an excellent shop truck. If you’re in Fort Worth this weekend, make sure to swing on by and say hi.

It’s been a busy fall thus far, and we’re just getting started. For more event coverage, make sure to check out the rest of our Ridetech blog here.
