RideTech, a leading designer, manufacturer and installer of premium suspension components, partnered with Barrett-Jackson, the World’s Greatest Car Collector Auctions, to bring another exciting 48 Hour Build to the WestWorld in Scottsdale, Ariz. January 13-21, 2018. Together with a team of manufacturers, RideTech upgraded a 1970 Camaro into a Pro-Touring masterpiece over the course of eight 6-hour days. After the build is complete, the 48 Hour Camaro will go on a two-year journey, driving, racing and being shown across the U.S. at national events.
The project includes a Lingenfelter Performance Engineering LS3 engine, Holley Terminator EFI, MSD ignition and Hooker stainless steel headers along with a special Bowler 4L75E transmission featuring Sonnax Level 3 upgrades, and a Pro Torque billet, lock-up converter. The 48 Hour Camaro features Baer brakes, Forgeline wheels, B.F. Goodrich Rival S tires, Vintage Air air conditioning custom Classic Instruments gauges and a Kicker stereo. Recovery Room will be upholstering the interior. The suspension consists of RideTech StrongArm control arms and Tru Turn steering up front with our new “unicradle” design Bolt-On 4-Link rear suspension. The Currie Enterprises Crate 9″ rear end assembly fetures a trick MillerBuilt floater axle conversion. RideTech TQ Series triple adjustable coilovers are used all around. Summit Racing Equipment is providing a wide range of parts during the build process.
