Over the weekend, the Lone Star Throwdown took the Montgomery County Fairgrounds by storm. Billed as “The World’s Greatest Truck Show,” the three-day long event brings more than 2,000 lowered and lifted trucks to Conroe, Texas, which is located just north of Houston.
At the Throwdown, there’s one major rule: no stock vehicles. As you can clearly see, that wasn’t a problem. Raised. Lowered. Static drop. On air. Short bed. Long bed. Crew cab. Shiny paint. Patina. You’d be hard pressed to find a more diverse selection of haulers.
Despite cold temperatures, the Throwdown is seen as the season kickoff for custom truck fans. It’s one of our favorite events of the year, and it’s a can’t-miss party for friends, builders and enthusiasts who share a common love of modified trucks.
We set up our fully loaded Ridetech display inside the convention center, and we had a great time catching up with old friends and making new ones too. Thank you everyone who stopped by!
In early March, we’re heading back to Texas for Goodguys’ LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals. Look for us at Texas Motor Speedway. Stay tuned for complete coverage!
